About

Susan Johnson, at her core, is an interpreter of songs.  Her varied repertoire ranges from folk ballads to disco, from blues to Broadway. Most recently, Susan has performed as a founding member of the band Fair to Middlin'.  This year is a turning point for Susan as she steps onto the stage with her own songs. These songs are as moving and engaging as her voice, evoking home and heartache, love and the possibility of transformation.  

Susan's debut album, with 14 original tunes, is out now. The album was produced by Jon Shain. FJ Ventre recorded and mixed the album at Good Luck Studio in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Cheyenne Sawyer did the beautiful artwork and design.
